Hello everyone,

Our chapter is pleased to offer a special Education and Networking event in beautiful Roanoke, Virginia. Hosted at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine, we’ll be a short walk from the river and apply tips and tricks to tame the torrents of activity that make healthcare finance one of the most dynamic industries.

We have an afternoon of three FREE education sessions expected to prove valuable at all levels. Noting the tremendous development opportunity a single-day event provides, particularly for early careerists who may otherwise miss regular opportunities to attend our spring and fall conferences, the first session is being tailored to you!

Following our education sessions, join in a relaxing 1.7 mile (33 minute) walk along the Roanoke River Greenway to our networking event venue, the Green Goat restaurant. Occupying a restored early-twentieth-century train depot and the old home of the Virginia Museum of Transportation in Wasena Park, the location provides plenty of space whether we choose to be indoors or take our event to the outdoor game and seating area to enjoy the spring weather. Driving and walking instructions are both included with event materials.

We want to ensure you see a path in your membership. Not only is the education event free, but thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, the networking event is free for our early careerists and students as well! Up through the first 100 registrants, provider employees join us free as well. You are the future of our industry. Join us for a relaxing evening and build relationships that will make HFMA more meaningful for you.

Attire is business casual. Remember that we will continue “taming the river” with our networking walk and games at the Green Goat restaurant, so feel free to bring a casual change of clothes.
