Corporate Sponsorship

2020-2021 Corporate Sponsorship Program

Chapter Year October 1, 2020 – September 30, 2021

To our Sponsors,

On behalf of the Virginia / Washington DC Chapter of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and its board of directors, I want to thank you for your continued support of our organization!  Without your contributions of time, energy, and financial resources, we would not be able to bring the high quality educational and networking opportunities that our organization has been known for over the past 66 years!

As a direct result of your support, we have provided more than 9,200 hours of education to our members over the past FY.  This education has been delivered across several marquee in-person conferences (e.g. Fall conference in Virginia Beach, Women in Leadership conference in Northern Va, and Spring conference in Richmond), as well as at several smaller events targeting different regions of our state..  We’ve also hosted five remote learning opportunities over the past year, and three networking Happy hours, and have seen attendance increase steadily as the pace of change in our industry continues to accelerate and our members look for a variety of ways to stay on top of regulatory changes and they seek ideas to improve performance.  In all cases our event planning volunteers have worked hard to make these gatherings fun and engaging by embracing themes (Pirates & Groovy 60’s) and our event feedback forms show overwhelmingly that our members love it!

In addition to education, this past year we executed on a number of key initiatives:

  • Expanded our focus on relationship building with a 15% expansion of our Mentorship program
  • Increased overall individual membership to 753, an 11% increase over last FY
  • Increased overall enterprise membership to 767, 94% of which are providers.
  • Strengthened the long term viability of our chapter by growing revenues (18%) and improving days cash on hand by (10%) vs. last FY.
  • Achieved growth in our sponsorship revenues from last fiscal year, and last year was a recent record year!

Even in an environment as challenging as this we consider FY20 to have been a great success!

Of course, we need your help to continue the momentum and fulfill our mission to offer our members and sponsoring organizations professional development through education, peer interaction, and the opportunity for certification.  Our volunteer members are hard at work planning our Fall Educational Conference and our Spring Conference and Health Plan Summit.  In addition, we are planning more networking opportunities, webinars, and mentoring activities.  All this with the added twist of navigating remote learning and networking opportunities so we can minimize the disruption of travel and budget restrictions brought about by the C-19 virus.

Meanwhile, our sponsorship committee continues to drive value to our sponsors by innovating on what is included in our packages and benchmarking our offerings and cost to other chapters and industry sponsorship opportunities.  Your continued feedback on opportunities to drive even more value are always welcome, and we continue to explore ways to provide more value for your sponsorship dollar!  For FY21 we are excited to bring you more value by introducing new benefits like a regular “sponsor snapshot” feature while also slashing the cost of our Gold & Silver sponsorships by 20%+!

We hope that you will continue to support our chapter through both annual and event sponsorships.  Please click the link to be taken to our corporate sponsorship application. We thank you for making HFMA the preeminent industry partner and professional organization for healthcare finance and revenue cycle.

Please do not hesitate to contact me at presidentelect@vadchfma.org if you have any questions regarding sponsorship.  Thank you for your consideration to support the VA/DC Chapter of HFMA this year and we look forward to our partnership.

Sincerely,

Brett McMillan

President Elect/Sponsorship Chair, Virginia / Washington DC Chapter HFMA
