Job Description:

Coordinates the collection, analysis and reporting of hospital system CMS and WVHCA data on an ongoing basis to facilitate executive decision making. Specifically, responsible for the preparation of the hospital systems annual revenue, allowances and contracted budgets. Responsible for evaluating and monitoring third party reimbursement issues and updates. Files all external reports through Medicare/Medicaid, and West Virginia Health Care Authority.

Required Qualifications:


Minimum of 5 years related experience is required. Supervision experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of general accounting principles and practices, budget development and management, and cost accounting normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor degree in business administration or accounting. Experience in the health care industry preferred. Strong working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations/cost reports and third party payor reimbursements. Proficiency in budget review/analysis and PC based software packages. Five years progressive reimbursement experience needed. Effective interpersonal communication and supervisory skills required to successfully interact with employees, co-workers, department heads, and outside agencies.

Preferred Qualifications:

CPA preferred

Education Qualifications:

BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Business or other related area required
