This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned healthcare leader to join a strong and growing independent health system in a beautiful area of the country.

With $1.1 billion in net revenue, CFVHS is an eight hospital, non-profit health system serving more than one million patients annually in southeastern North Carolina. The CFO will be joining CFVHS as it continues to grow, transform and respond to the needs of the community. She/he will play a critical role in mapping out the strategic direction of the system, in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The CFO will join a very stable and long tenured executive team that works well together to carry out the mission of the organization.

In joining this strong and growing integrated delivery system, the new CFO will assume responsibility for Finance, Accounting, Treasury, Revenue Cycle, Contracting, Health Information Management, Supply Chain Services and Organizational Excellence, and will set the vision and strategy to deliver sound stewardship practices and safeguards for the organization’s assets.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced, results-oriented financial leader with a record of accomplishment in a complex, integrated health system. This will include an understanding of risk-based contacts, complex debt instruments, the provider perspective, the payor function, and dynamics of rural healthcare and other important aspects of current and future healthcare delivery. Candidates will be committed to fully engaging providers and other stakeholders in change management and continuous improvement efforts and will regularly communicate, clearly and concisely, the actions necessary to achieve success in a low-reimbursement environment. She/he will possess strong emotional and social intelligence to develop meaningful relationships at all levels of the organization and will represent CFVHS on a local, regional and national level.

This role offers an outstanding career and leadership opportunity for a driven, emotionally intelligent leader capable of developing and implementing sophisticated financial strategies to achieve organizational objectives.
